Hi, bastien i live in africa and hafe never had the opportunity to catch a hydrocynus goliath ( goliath tiger fish) i ve always wondered how hard it fights and people say it s very difficult to catch this fish, are there still a lot left in the congo?

Hi Hanlo. I have been living in DRC and i Had my own boat. That is why I have been able to catch some of them because I confirm...they are quite hard to catch :)

Yes im a marien biologist living in south africa doing research on tigerfish, bastien are the goliaths very rare in the congo, or are there a lot... :)

I would say they are still a lot but to find the big one you have to go far away from Kinshasa.
